Science, Sunshine and Those Pesky Germs

We've had a busy week this week, we did lots, got lots of fresh air and enjoyed ourselves. Gracie and Odin are healthy again, but sadly Kelli got sick today. I kinda figured she would, since she was supposed to go to her best friends birthday party overnight. She had to stay home :( Her tummy is fine, but she has a sore neck, throat and head. Hopefully she gets a good nights sleep and feels better tomorrow because she has a Girl Guide dinner on Sunday.

We had a quite Valentines Day. Both Gracie and Kelli had parties at school Only 4 other kids showed up to Gracies school, so it was a very small party.

The Valentines the girls took to school, Gracies is on the top:

Since we are all about the whole candy free thing, we made Valentines special in other ways. They did get one treat, the girls got a chocolate sucker, and Odin got a handful of pink jelly beans. Yum.

Breakfast, Gracies snack, and Kellis lunch:

Kelli had her very first science fair this week! She was lucky enough to get her best friend Kaylie as her partner.  I gave up trying to get them to work on it, and just hoped for the best. They did a good job, and they were proud to show it off. We stopped by the school yesterday with Nana Debbie to check it out. Grace was much more interested in sitting at the teachers desk, but hey, we can't all love science. Their project was "Invisible Ink" which is lemon juice on white paper. When it is heated, the lemon juice turns brown and we should be able to read it.

It has been beautiful out all week. We have spent as much time as possible outdoors, going for walks around the block, playing in the backyard, and we took a fun trip to Kelli's school to play. Gracie had different ideas then me about leaving, but we eventually made it home. She sat on the sidewalk, we walked away. She gave in first and came running after us. Thankfully. I wasn't sure if it was going to work, and I really didn't want to go back to get her.  They had so much fun, they just wanted to stay longer.
